On a Wicked Wind and from the stormy sea foam his beautiful siren appeared, a fiery Aphrodite that pirate captain Antonio Rafael de Zamora desired more than gold or rubies. And something stirred within him, for the enigmatic beauty was more than a buccaneer's booty.
Hurled into the Caribbean and swept back in time, Sabrina Steele found herself abruptly aroused in the arms of the dashing privateer. There, on his tropical island, Rafael taught her to crest the waves of passion and sail the seas of ecstasy. But the handsome rogue had a tortured past, and in order to consummate a love that had called her through time, the headstrong beauty sought to uncover the pirate's true buried treasure - his heart.
If Rafael held any grudge for last night's refusal, he didn't show it. His smile was easy as his eyes flickered pleasantly over her from head to tow.
"I trust you slept well after the storm passed," he said blandly.
Sabrina hadn't been able to close her eyes even for five minutes after he'd left the cabin. "Very well, thank you. And you?" Her answer, her lie, was so polite, so distant.
"I slept not at all," he said nonchalantly, and with a wicked grin. "One storm passed, but another raged on."
Surely she turned eight different shades of red. She could feel the heat in her cheeks. All she could manage was a weak, "Oh."
Rafael lowered his voice, and moving very slowly he placed his face close to hers. "How many times must I tell you not to lie to me? You slept no better than I, for the same storm raged within you, sirena mia. Do not deny it."
She couldn't. At the moment she couldn't find any words at all.
