Domini couldn't believe her eyes.

   Two vampires circled each other in the tight space that had been quickly cleared in front of the bar. The fighters circled and slashed with deadly grace - two intensely masculine figures of muscle, fang, and claw, one in a white shirt, the other in black leather.
   At the end, the winner sprang out of his crouch and straight at her. A swirl of hair darker than a raven wing, a hard-set jaw, green eyes blazing like emeralds. Shoulders wide as a mountain, hands as deadly as sharpened steel . . .
   "Alec," Domini whispered.
   As he lifted her into his arms, Domini swirled down into a dizzying vortex. Her head fell forward onto his chest, and everything went dark.
   "Mine." His voice was a rough rasp, full of as much pain as passion.
