"What is it you're hiding?"

    She knows! Jess's unending questions had made him say too much. He should have known he could never get involved with her. God, how he hated questions, the lying. What he'd become.
    "I don't hide," he responded. "It's more like I try not to make waves, to stay invisible."
    "Why?" she asked.
