"Didn't mean to scare you none."

    "Well, you did," Willow said. "This whole thing scared me. A vigilante hanging in 1995 - who would have thought it possible?"
    Ryder started. "You are shook up. You mean 1885."
    "No, of course I don't!" she snapped. Her hands flattened against his chest and pushed. "Though considering what happened today, it should be 1885."
    Her lovely mouth gaped open, and Ryder was hard-pressed not to act on the instinct to taste it. He stepped back and took a better look at her apparel - pants, shirt, vest, leather boots. "Uh, you do know you're a woman, right?
    "I beg you're pardon?"
    "Well, you are dressed in men's clothing."
    Gaze narrowing, she asked, "What century are you living in, bub?"
    Ryder felt the short hairs at the back of his neck rise, and a chill shot down his spine. Something weird was going on here. Something out of his experience.
